The name of my blog is stronger. I got "stronger" tattooed on my side, the meaning and the placement is very significant to me. Because every struggle that I have been through, it has made me stronger. Some of you may know a little of my story, some may not know anything at all. I am trying to keep alot of imformation private but I wanted to make this blog hopefully to bless someone reading it.
So many young girls and women have self esteem issues. When we are rejected or hurt we sometimes think that something is wrong with us or the way we look. I was in a relationship before where I was constantly being brought down physically and emotionally and I stayed out of fear. Sometimes we feel all alone when we are going through a tough time when in reality we are far from alone. Even the most beautiful, perfect, giving women in the world get cheated on, beat on, and lied to. Until we accept that God always has a plan and taking care of us even when we don't understand it, we will continue to feel defeated. So head up, and keep walking :)
I never could understand why I was being hurt... When I tried so hard to be perfect and do the right thing... And some things in life, we can never understand. But I do know that God was protecting me. I could have lost my life, but God was protecting me. So I knew I had a purpose in this world. I entered a pageant and my platform was Domestic Violence Awareness.... My only purpose of doing the pageant was to have a voice and be heard, and it was a shock to me when the judges told me they chose me because I was authentic and passionate. I went on to compete at Miss Oklahoma and gained so much from my many experiences.
Today, I am thankful for....
1. Life in itself- today was beautiful
2. Seeing my sister is always a blessing
3. My dad cleaned my car, changed the oil, and filled my gas tank. I love that man
4. I had lunch with my good friend today and it really blessed me
5. My nephews playing hide and seek... I love hearing the laughter
6. My mom, sister, and I laid in bed last night and watched the sweetest movie and it felt so nice. I wish we had more nights like that.
7. My sister's new house has walk in showers and I literally fell in love
8. Even when I have a rough day and feel down, I can smile because I know that God loves me
9. My mom thinks everything is funny and I think I took after her... I love that about her
10. The ability to dance- makes everything in life make sense.
